3. Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R Medical University

As the first Principal of the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College, Chennai he was instrumental in propagating research in dentistry with path-breaking work on fluorosis in several districts of Tamil Nadu.

With a career spanning four decades, Dr. Gunaseelan has established himself as a trailblazer in advanced dental and maxillofacial surgical procedures.

He was the first maxillofacial surgeon in India to perform groundbreaking techniques including zygomatic implant surgery, software- guided surgeries and innovative teeth in a day procedure.
